Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3-inch Laptop Review – Pros and Cons

Every now and then, Apple laptops undergo a major revamp much to the delight of Apple computer fans. The latest generation of Apple MacBook went through one of the biggest revamps in years. Here is a quick review of the Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3-inch laptop.

Cons: Cost has always been a major factor when it comes to Apple computers and the Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3-inch laptop is of no exception. Currently, it retails for around $1160 each, which is more expensive than regular laptops with similar specs. The only way that this premium is justified is if you are someone that really appreciates the beautiful design and novelty factor of the laptop. Apple laptops after all do come with a series extra features (whether you need them or not) that are not found on other laptops.

It is also quite unfortunate that the Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A laptop kept the 1280 x 800 resolution screen. Today some $400+ netbooks already have 720p screens. You would think that a laptop that costs 3 times more would have a screen with a much better resolution.

Many high-end laptops in the market today come with Blu-ray and HDMI options. Although the Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A laptop does support HDMI outputs (through the use of adapters), it does not come with these built-in features.

Pros: The design of Apple computers have always been one of Apple’s biggest strengths. The Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A laptop sports an aluminum enclosure that looks really nice. The screen display is also nice to look at while displaying amazing graphics at the same time. Apple also took great effort to construct the laptop from environmentally friendly materials.

The Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A laptop also has a longer battery life than other laptops of its class. It can last up to 7 hours on a single charge, which is very impressive by any laptop standards. Performance wise, Apple computers have one of the fastest multi-tasking speed in the market. If you are someone who needs to work with multiple heavy applications at the same time, Apple computers are the way to go.
