FIFA 18 The Journey: Hunter Returns Guide – Overview

While FIFA 18 The Journey: Hunter Returns gives the suggestion that you’ll be making a lot of big decisions, most of this mode is based on how well you play and what kind of personality you choose to have. Read on for all the tips you need to achieve everything possible in FIFA 18 The Journey: Hunter Returns. We’ll detail all the choices Hunter will need to make and look at the rewards you can earn in each chapter of The Journey.

What is FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns?

FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns is a story-focused mode in FIFA 18. This focuses on Alex Hunter, who returns from FIFA 17 having won the FA Cup. The Journey – Hunter Returns follows Hunter’s second season as a pro and will see him playing matches, taking part in training, talking to friends, and making big decisions.

What Teams can you Play for in FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns?

At the start of The Journey – Hunter Returns you can either choose to carry on with the club you ended FIFA 17 with or choose to start fresh with any Premier League team. While this is who you start with in FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns, it isn’t the only club you’ll play for. By the end of the story you’ll have travelled the world and played for at least two more clubs.

Do you Only Play as Alex Hunter in FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns?

While The Journey – Hunter Returns is focused on Alex Hunter, you can actually take control of the whole team he plays for if you’d prefer . You’ll also get the opportunity to play as two other players during The Journey – Hunter Returns – both of whom play key parts in the story.

How Long is FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns?

Unlike Madden 18’s Longshot mode, which can be completed in an afternoon, FIFA 18’s The Journey – Hunter Returns takes a long time to play through. It can take about 20 hours to complete the whole season, but you can skip an optional part of the story in Chapter 5 and choose to simulate training sessions (something you shouldn’t do) to speed things up.

Can you Fail in FIFA 18: The Journey – Hunter Returns?

You can fail in The Journey – Hunter Returns, but this is only ever a screen that says you must reload a previous save. These failures happen if your form drops too much. The manager will give Hunter numerous warnings before this happens. If you get shipped off to another team, it’s not due to your performances, but an in-built part of the story.

FIFA 18 The Journey – Hunter Returns Guide and Walkthrough

Here we’ll talk you through the key aspects of The Journey – Hunter Returns so you know the best way to approach the mode and the rewards you can get from playing.

Should you Play as Hunter or the Whole Team in FIFA 18 The Journey?

While The Journey: Hunter Returns is primarily about the second season of Alex Hunter’s pro career, you can actually play as the whole team rather than just as him. There are benefits to doing this, primarily that you don’t have to rely on the AI to create chances and score goals. The big downside, though, is that you’ll struggle to earn high ratings for Hunter when you’re in control of the whole team. Focusing on Hunter means you’ll always be able to get him into the best positions.

We recommend you chose to play as Hunter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have an impact on the whole team. By pressing the button that corresponds to the action you’d perform if you had the ball you can shout at teammates to do that very thing. If you want them to pass to you, press the pass button, while a press of the through ball button will hopefully get them to play you in, for example.

Fiery and Cool Responses in FIFA 18 The Journey Aren’t as Important as you Might Think

Most of the choices you get to make in FIFA 18 The Journey are how to respond to questions. You can choose between a fiery, balanced or cool response. This choice affects an in-game meter that determines how popular you are with fans and sponsors, but more importantly how the manager sees you. The idea is that if you’re a bit arrogant and hotheaded, you’ll become a fan favorite (racking up social media followers) and earning big sponsorship deals, while being a team player will rank you highly in the manager’s books.

In reality, your performances during games are the biggest factor in your success. Play well and you’ll be a fan favorite and first on the team sheet. Our advice is not to worry too much about the answer choices.

How to Level up Alex Hunter During FIFA 18 The Journey

During your time playing The FIFA 18 The Journey: Hunter Returns you’ll gradually level up Hunter’s ability. This is done through training sessions in which you complete drills and are rewarded with stat upgrades depending on how well you do, and through skill point tokens that you can use to upgrade certain areas. Think about how you should spend these skill points to best help you perform well. Pace, strength, and finishing are all essential if you’re a striker, while heading and penalties might come in useful for far less regularly.

The key here is to take part in all training sessions rather than simulate them. It’s pretty easy to earn an A-rating on most of the drills, and you can retry three times if you don’t do as well as you’d like. If you simulate a training session you’ll be lucky to earn more than a C-rating.

While training sessions are meant to contribute to how the manager sees you, they are only important in that sense if you’re underachieving on the pitch during proper matches.

How to Earn High Ratings in FIFA 18 The Journey

To earn high ratings for your performances in FIFA 18: The Journey you need to play well and be involved. Simple passes will gradually bump you up, but this can be wiped out pretty quickly if you make badly timed tackles or wander too far out of position. The biggest boosts come from goals and assists. Don’t spam the through ball button as badly timed passes will lose you points, and equally don’t shoot from 40 yards. If you go through a game making good passes and your team wins you’ll end up with a good rating. Goals and assists will take you easily into the 9.0 or higher category.

FIFA 18 The Journey Walkthrough – Choices That Change the Story in FIFA 18 The Journey

At the start of training you’ll be asked if you are ready to go or if you need a refresher. Choose ready to go unless you haven’t played a FIFA game before and don’t know what you’re doing.

FIFA 18 The Journey Choices – Chapter 2

Can you sign for Real Madrid?

The big story in Chapter 2 of The Journey in FIFA 18 is Alex supposedly signing for Real Madrid. The question is, can you actually sign for Real Madrid? The answer is no. Michael was played and there’s nothing you can do to make the transfer happen.

Say Goodbye to Michael?

In Chapter 2, once you find out about the transfer debacle, you can either get rid of Michael as your agent or keep him. If you choose to get rid of him you’ll never see him again. Keep him and he’ll remain your agent throughout the game.

FIFA 18 The Journey Choices – Chapter 3

Thierry Henry is a Friend or Acquaintance

In Chapter 3 of The Journey in FIFA 18 you get tickets to go watch the US Women play (and see your sister in action). You can choose to invite Henry and become good friends, or chicken out and just stay acquaintances.

Which European Club to Sign for

FIFA 18 The Journey Choices – Chapter 5

Pick a Strike Partner

As one of the club’s big new signings you’re asked to pick a strike partner. The choices may well change depending on the club you chose to play with. Whichever player you choose will be the one you end up having to form a striker partnership with, making assists and scoring goals off their passes.

Do you Care About Danny’s Career?

Once you get injured in Chapter 5 of The Journey you can choose to take over as Danny and save his career at your former club. If you choose to save his career you’ll play a number of games as him with new goals. If you choose not to, Danny’s career will suffer and you’ll skip forward to when you return from injury.

FIFA 18 The Journey Choices – Chapter 6

When you return from injury you’ll train with your sister and then work on closing the gap at the top of the league. There are no choices to make in Chapter 6 of The Journey in FIFA 18, but winning the league and a cup is a big challenge if you’re playing on Pro or harder difficulty.

Projekt Evil’s Call of Duty Team Involved in More Roster Change Drama After Rebelling Against Their Coach | Esports News & Videos

There’s seldom a boring moment in the aggressive Simply call of Responsibility community, even all through this a few-thirty day period off-period concerning Infinite Warfare and the launch of Simply call of Responsibility WWII.

The North American Simply call of Responsibility staff identified as Projekt Evil appears to be to be in one thing of a sticky problem after the staff rebelled towards their mentor and reversed a roster adjust they claim he determined on.

On Wednesday, October 4th, the 4-guy staff featuring up and coming players Chris ‘ProFeeZy’ Astudillo, Seth ‘Glory’ Donskey (pictured), Michael ‘Beehzy’ Mentioned, and Lyric ‘Lyric’ Quinonez joined the business.

It was announced just 4 days afterwards that Canadian participant Beehzy had been replaced in the squad by Teegan ‘TcM’ McCarthy, even though no official clarification was designed.

That adjust has now been reversed after Glory released a statement on Twitter, proclaiming mentor Sam ‘Fenix’ Spencer had designed the selection to drop Beehzy for TcM without the need of consulting the remainder of the staff.

“We never ever determined as a staff that we wanted to choose up TcM. We feel TcM is a phenomenal participant and warrants to be on a superior staff but he did not in good shape our staff. Fenix talked to TcM and advised him he was becoming a member of the staff and dropped Beehzy without the need of us figuring out.”

Glory ongoing on to claim that Fenix not only went behind their backs, but was also a person they are not ready to get the job done with owing to his intense nature and unnecessary needs, which included 12 to 14 follow days on aged video games in preparing for the launch of WWII in November.

“Impulsive & greedy. Fenix designed a number of conclusions behind our backs. He did not advise us or would lie to us about business updates, roster moves, etc. The way we have been educated was generally via other outdoors sources who talked to Fenix, and it was generally a pretty distinctive tale.”

On top rated of that, he statements that their now previous mentor was keeping them back from potential talks with other organizations who have been ready to fork out the staff a comfy wage.

Do OpTic Gaming’s Call of Duty Team Still Have the Fear Factor? | Esports News & Videos

One of the benefits of staying one of the finest groups of all time can often be a psychological edge, a worry issue that can make it even more durable for opponents to finally consider them down.

Some groups, across numerous esports, ultimately access a point at which their identify by yourself can influence the play of their enemy, a point at which any game they play can’t be just a different game, but retains increased fat and importance for their enemy than any other adversary would.

For the most relentlessly profitable groups, there develops a feeling of inevitability to their final results. They come to be not just the favorites heading into just about every solitary game, but in some way it does not feel to make any difference what comes about inside the game itself, even when they’re pushed to the extremely restrict they feel capable of turning points close to, and when they ultimately do it looks that it was the only end result that was at any time possible.

There were being moments through Fnatic’s dominance of CS:GO that analysts would predict their victory even when just about every identifiable issue seemed to point in favor of their opponents. Map range, play design and style, tactical prowess, all probably indicating an enemy acquire, and still a Fnatic victory nevertheless seemed extra likely, only for the reason that of who they were being.

Equally, no lead for an opponent was at any time so great that Fnatic couldn’t appear back again. It is a different trait these champions share – just this earlier 7 days, at the League of Legends Planet Championship, the legendary SK Telecom T1 demonstrated a related phenomenon. In a match towards their previous Chinese rivals EDG, the reigning Planet Champions found on their own at a massive deficit – and still in some way, prolonged-time fans were being likely just ready for the instant at which everything turned close to, and so it came.

When compLexity were being at their peak in Get in touch with of Duty, they as well boasted a related impact. Down -2 in a greatest-of-5 grand remaining? Easy. -5 deficit in Search and Damage? Of program they can appear back again. 1st round loss to an newbie group? The trophy is nevertheless theirs.

The compLexity Get in touch with of Duty Team

These certainly dominant groups make these a feeling of staying favored at all moments, towards all opponents, under all circumstance, that it does not just influence lover notion. Opposition players enter a match not able to dismiss who they’re experiencing, cognisant – even if only subconsciously – of the simple fact that their defeat may well be inevitable. That they are experiencing not just a different group, but a group, a group towards whom the slightest miscalculation will price tag everything.

That aura of invincibility tends to affect those people enemy groups and players. Mainly because of who they’re experiencing, probably they do not consider so many threats. They play extra timidly, maybe, fall short to effectively capitalise on benefit for worry of earning a miscalculation, or alter their play-design and style and harm on their own by going out of their consolation zone.

Even if they have a lead, at the time that appear-back again starts off they collapse extra promptly than probably they normally would have, not able to escape visions of their impending loss towards a group that all people appreciates will acquire as soon as they have the slightest opening. To a degree, it may well even be questioned regardless of whether there is an factor of self-fulfilling prophecy – the extremely simple fact that opponents play being aware of the hazard they deal with amplifies that hazard to a degree, probably.

To make these an impact, it’s not sufficient to only be the greatest in the world. It calls for a amount of dominance that may well only be reached by a small handful of groups all through the heritage of a game, if that. In Get in touch with of Duty, OpTic Gaming have most not too long ago been that group.

During the very first season adhering to the formation of the main three players of the existing OpTic line-up – that of Advanced Warfare – they attended fourteen activities together. Of those people fourteen, they gained nine, and only unsuccessful to access the grand remaining at the time. It was a monumental feat of regularity across an entire calendar year.

Black Ops noticed a couple of extra slip-ups, the group of program famously slipping brief at the Get in touch with of Duty Championships at the time extra, but the other two events on which the group unsuccessful to access the grand finals were being the two in solitary-elimination tournaments, with UMG South Carolina notably having a multitude of controller troubles all through.

Infinite Warfare, nonetheless, noticed OpTic Gaming challenged extra than at any time prior to. Even with a arduous structure at just about every event, the group added a different three skipped grand finals to their tally, and crucially were being challenged by a increased variety of opponents than at any time prior to.

The OpTic Gaming CoD group at the X Online games 2015

The distinction is not solely in the final results, it’s extra nuanced than that. It is in how those people final results came to be, and the comparative sort of OpTic’s opponents.

All through Infinite Warfare, OpTic Gaming accrued a broader vary of losses than at any time prior to. EnVyUs conquer them in winner brackets at the two the start out and conclusion of the season. FaZe eliminated them from CWL Vegas and sent them to the lessen bracket of the World Pro League Stage One Playoffs. eUnited denied them in the grand finals of CWL Atlanta and pretty much did so yet again at CWL Dallas. Luminosity eliminated them from the GPL Stage One Playoffs and conquer them yet again at CWL Anaheim. Enigma6 conquer them in the CWL Vegas group phase and eliminated them from CWL Anaheim.

Any one of these final results may well not feel considerable in isolation. An off day listed here, a close loss there, the internet final results is nevertheless that OpTic was the most profitable group of the calendar year. When taken as a total, nonetheless, the picture of OpTic Gaming is arguably one that sees them looking extra susceptible than at any time prior to.

Wherever at the time it took one thing certainly distinctive to consider down OpTic, this season it seemed that a variety of groups may well be capable of it. All in all, a overall of 5 various groups claimed a number of series victories towards the formerly indomitable OpTic over the program of the season. Each loss chips away at the notion of the inevitability of an OpTic victory.

The important to that psychological edge is not essentially that the dominant group has to be unbeatable. What it does need, nonetheless, is that only the certainly excellent can normally pull off a victory towards them. For OpTic, it looks that may well no more time be genuine.

OpTic Gaming right after successful the CWL Championship 2017

OpTic Gaming ended Infinite Warfare on the maximum of highs, having the lion’s share of two of the largest prize pools of the calendar year and, most importantly, finally grew to become Planet Champions. For probably the very first time through the reign of this squad, nonetheless, it looks there is blood in the water. Ultimately, the “fear factor” legendary groups make is a footnote when compared to all of the other aspects that make them great, but when you’re striving to dethrone a king, just about every little helps.

Given the pedigree on the OpTic roster, the widespread assumption looks to be that the return to boots-on-the-ground in the coming season will only reinforce their posture. Nobody can rule permanently although, and OpTic have now been at the best for more time than any other group has even existed. Despite these a amazing conclusion to Infinite Warfare for OpTic Gaming, probably we’re commencing to see the very first hints of a revolution on the increase.

PlayStation 4 adds team tournaments, 1080p streaming, pop-up control – Tech News

As the PlayStation 4’s system software reaches version 5.0, users can now form and join teams for up to 100 players, stream to Twitch in 1080p at 60 frames per second, and keep pop-up notifications hidden.

Teams and Team Tournaments have been added to the PlayStation 4’s feature set as its OS moves to version 5.0, as detailed on the North American, European and Japanese PlayStation blogs.

Launched in conjunction with the ESL (also known as the Electronic Sports League), PlayStation 4 users can create teams that are up to 100 members strong, joining a maximum of 60 such teams at any one time.

Teams allow players to associate and strategise before casual play or competitive events, and while initial support is limited to birds eye view “Mantis Burn Racing,” massively multiplayer mobile armor battler “World of Tanks” and the multiplayer modes from “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” and “Uncharted: Lost Legacy,” the ESL’s involvement indicates that ambitions stretch further.

The Team Tournaments feature is to go live on Oct 5.

Also thanks to the 5.0 update, the PlayStation 4 Pro can now stream to the Twitch.tv online video platform in high definition 1080p and at 60 frames per second, while an overhauled suite of parental controls should make it easier to set appropriate age levels for games, Blu-rays and DVDs on a per account basis, and users can follow any other account (privacy settings permitting) rather than just verified accounts.

With the update rolling out of beta and into general distribution, all PlayStation 4 users can now exert greater control over how notifications present themselves.

Pop-ups could show when friends send messages or downloads finish: notifications in general can now be left on but suppressed during video playback, while previews can be truncated and anonymised; all notifications are being corralled within a Quick Menu option that can be accessed from within a game, as can a Leave Party option that means players can swiftly duck out of a chat group when it suits them. — AFP Relaxnews

Apple reinforcing macOS, iOS Siri team with acqui-hire of init.ai startup crew

Apple appears to have bought out a Init.ai —a startup focused on machine learning and processing of natural language originally intended to assist in customer service —to enhance Siri in some way.

A report on Wednesday by TechCrunch claimed that Apple bought the Init.ai startup that had software that allowed customer service management to glean more information from users, as well as automating some of the initial data collection.

In a notice on the Init.ai site, the company notes that the employees of the startup were “joining a project that touches the lives of countless people across the world.” As a result, the existing service is shuttering on Dec. 16.

Citing sources close to Init.ai, and Apple, TechCrunch believes that at least some of the employees in the company are going to work on Siri, in an unknown capacity. There appears to be no intellectual property transfer, nor does there seem to be a customer migration in place.

LinkedIn data suggests that Init.ai has six employees. Crunchbase lists an undisclosed amount of first-round funding from six venture capital funds.

Keith Brisson, one of the founders, wrote an blog post in 2016 suggesting that Apple’s WWDC proclamations around Siri from that year were “simultaneously exciting, disappointing, and stunningly predictable.”

“Entering a market without a clear way to outcompete would be uncharted and precarious territory for Apple. So, for now, Apple needs to prevent that conversational interaction developing into a battleground on which it is ill equipped to compete,” wrote Brisson. “That is why Siri, Messages, and iMessage are so limited.”

An MLB team is using iOS 11’s NFC feature for contactless stadium entry

When Apple announced iOS 11 last spring, one of the stand-out features was that the company would finally give developers access to the iPhone’s NFC chip. While Apple has used NFC contactless technology to power Apple Pay in the iPhone and Apple Watch for a few years, the hardware had never been available to developers – until now.

Today the MLB announced that the Oakland Athletics are piloting a new NFC ticketing solution which lets fans enter the stadium by tapping their phone (or Apple Watch) to a ticket scanner – just like you’d do to use Apple Pay.

The pilot lasted for a six-game homestand starting Sept. 22nd after iOS 11 launched, and was the first time a professional sports event supported contactless tickets in Apple Wallet. Interestingly, the Oakland Athletics were also the first team to use mobile ticketing via text messaging, way back in 2007.

Of course contactless entry isn’t that different from using a mobile barcode ticket to enter a venue, which is something that a bunch of stadiums do use. But NFC is more secure since a barcode could be replicated. It’s also a lot less error prone than scanning a barcode off a screen – which most of us have tried before and probably walked away frustrated with the experience. So contactless ticketing via NFC will definitely be a welcome development for any of us that frequently use our phones for mobile entry.

The tech is being developed by Tickets.com, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MLBAM. They power the ticketing for 23 MLB teams and while there will be no more games this season that support contactless entry, the firm will be working with those teams (and its non-MLB clients) to implement the technology for the 2018 season.
