Learning how to make a page on Facebook may be one of the most important moves you can make. Reason being that Facebook has become one of the most visited pages all over the world so it's a wonderful place to gain some recognition. Alongside having a regular page on Facebook you can also create a page to promote your business. With your page you can promote many categories of business. What are you trying to promote? Would it be a band, a retail shop, a charity …? No matter what it is there's a place for you on Facebook pages.
It's pretty easy to get started with a page on Facebook. There are just 3 main steps to complete. So let's get started!
Step 1 is to create your page!
Login to Facebook and search Facebook pages, select it and create page. This is where you'll have to decide what section your particular business is in. There are 6 sections to choose from. They are:
1. Local business or place.
2. Are you a company, organization or institution?
3. Are you promoting a brand or product?
4. Are you an artist, band or public figure?
5. Are you promoting entertainment?
6. Are you trying to promote a cause or community?
Choose whiche category you're in, name it and move on.
Step 2 is to Setup your page!
Setting up your page is easy. If you have a logo image or just any image that represents your business upload it onto your page. If you have an official website or twitter make sure that you add these to your page as this will give you more traffic to your sites and you know if you have more traffic you'll have more sales or recognition. Your page may not be accessible right away so just continue with the wizard. It'll guide you through the rest of the steps. One good thing about setting up your page is if you're not ready to fully set it up yet you can skip all the steps and still access your page. Then later on you can set everything up and complete your page.
Step 3 is to go into your admin settings!
In this step you can do a number of things like set up your profile, provide basic information, setup age restrictions if necessary and if you want your site unpublished till you're ready to make it live for everyone to see, then you can do that as well. This is a good feature cause if you have not completed the setup stage for your page then setting it so that no one else can see it other than yourself would be a good idea. This will give you time to really perfect your page and make all the adjustments and improvements needed to enhance your friendly and inviting environment.
So now you've got your page all completed and ready to go, but these are just some of the most basic ways of setting up your page. There are other things that can be done to enhance your. Now all you need to do now is bringing traffic to your page. Get people to like your page and share your page with their friends and hopefully you'll get some viral activity going on that you'll gain even more recognition and or sales. Enjoy your new page!
