This national conference to be organized by ACASTI in collaboration with universities, higher institutes and research centers in the DRC will have as its main theme, ” Scientific, technological and industrial research in the DRC (1960-2020): assessment and prospects

LePr Taba, one of the members of the organizing committee of this congress, also indicated that the limited date for sending various posters and oral communications to the said structure has been extended to March 20, 2021. Those who had already sent their communications and posters , he said, are not required to redo them.

These meetings will examine the current state of scientific research in the DRC as well as its impact on national development and economic growth.

It will also be a question of proposing possible solutions to the following concerns: What is the balance sheet of scientific research in the DRC, sixty years after independence? “,” Does the research benefit from the resources necessary to be carried out? “,” Are the research results actually used in the implementation of the policies and programs that the Congolese State and its partners have developed? “And” How to meet these challenges in a Congo where researchers and political decision-makers seem to distrust or at least ignore each other?
