PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One S Console Spring Deals

This really isn’t a Xbox One vs PlayStation 4 type of post, but we think Microsoft is in a precarious position in the next few quarter until the Scorpion arrives. With a flurry of highly rated PS4 exclusives, we think it’ll be more difficult for Microsoft to make an argument for the Xbox One S – short of an overall cheaper price tag. With that, we believe you’ll be seeing more aggresive promotions on the Xbox One S in the coming months.

In terms of deals for each of the system, here’s what we’re looking at in Spring 2017: the PS4 Pro can currently be purchased for about $369 after coupon at – conversely, the most expensive Xbox One S (the 2TB red model), is priced at $339.99. Of course, this isn’t exactly an apple to apple comparison given they are two different systems. In terms of lowest priced (and more closely aligned) models, you can scoop up a Xbxo One S Minecraft bundle for about $212 while the cheapest PlayStaiton 4 Slim is at $227.

On the gaming software deal side, Mass Effect: Andromeda and NieR: Automata are both experiencing continuing drop in price on the PC from expanded sales price, a bit interesting given the opposing reception for each title. Mass Effect: Andromeda is now at a 30% off price point, while NieR is at 29% off. The deals on the digital copies are for the Origin and Steam keys, respectively. For Dark Souls fans, the series is on sale this weekend at GamersGate, with the base game up to 55% off. Finally, Titanfall 2 is half-off and the game is free to play for the weekend.
