PlayStation Plus games update: PS Plus subscribers getting new PS4 bonus | Gaming | Entertainment

The PlayStation Plus games lineup for October is now available but there are still a few bonuses to look forward to.

Having just had a good run on the Gran Turismo Sport Demo, which shuts down tomorrow, PS Plus subscribers will soon have another PS4 games experience to try out.

Ubisoft have announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will offer a free weekend on PlayStation 4, from October 12th–15th, 2017.

This will include having full access to the base game’s content, as well as new players getting the chance to experience Ghost War, the new free PvP update.

Ghost War was launched on October 10th, 2017, and is a 4-versus-4 team deathmatch experience that builds on the tactical squad play from the main game.

Using one of 12 classes, each with their own varied characteristics, weapons, perks and customisation options, players will engage with enemies across eight unique maps.

Ghost War also integrates new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a strategic and intense team-based multiplayer mode.

In conjunction with this free weekend, there will be 50% discount on all editions of the game.

Players who purchase the full game will find that all their progress will carry over from the free weekend.

The development team plans to bring regular post-launch updates to Ghost War in order to enrich the overall PvP experience.

“We are excited to be continue to refine and expand Ghost War after its launch” said Lucian Istrate, Lead Game Designer on Ghost War at Ubisoft Bucharest.

“Expect more classes, more maps, and even new modes to be added in the future!”

It’s also worth noting that this free trial is available through the Xbox One’s Games with Gold subscription, as well as through Uplay on PC.

Apparently not available to PS4 and Xbox One players, Ghost Recon can be pre-loaded on Uplay PC right now.

For those wanting to know more about the recent Gran Turismo Sport demo, time is running out to have a spin.

The GT Sport demo is a ‘limited-time demo’ and will only be available to play for four days.

The GT Sport demo end date is October 12 and the end time is 2pm BST / 8am PT.

However, fans won’t have long to wait to try out Gran Turismo Sport again.

GT Sport has a release date on PS4 of October 18.
