DemoReel 2016
Generalist TD / Environment TD
DemoReel for my released VFX projects, including shots from “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” (trailer shots), J.A Bayona’s “A Monster Calls” (trailer shots), Marvel’s “Fantastic Four” as well as from my VES nominated student shortfilm ‘MURPHY’. My current project – “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be released in November.


PROJECTS BREAKDOWN:
■ 00:02 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Texture/Asset TD] Responsible for all the texturing part (+700 texture maps for +50 assets, done in Mari with a mix of texture/procedural) of all the rock assets in this sequence, as well as a good part of the modeling/sculpting.
■ 00:19 – A MONSTER CALLS
[Digital Matte Painter] Did a couple of DMP work on this shot, mostly to restore the the foreground and background, and remove the set elements (blue screen, dolly, …).
■ 00:21 – KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV
[Generalist TD] Responsible for building a 10x10km city used on +350 shots, which involved managing the environment layout, keeping the consistency through the different sequences while taking care of different damage states, keeping the environment up to date at all time. Later on the project, I join the DMP team to enhance some of the wide shots, and finally helped in FX (smoke layout in Houdini) and Compositing.
■ 00:29 – FANTASTIC FOUR

[Texture TD] Responsible for the texturing of the ground. Done in Mari with a mix of texture/procedural.
■ 00:48 – KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV
[Generalist TD] Responsible for building a 10x10km city used on +350 shots, which involved managing the environment layout, keeping the consistency through the different sequences while taking care of different damage states, keeping the environment up to date at all time. ■ 00:54 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Digital Matte Painter] Created a 2.5D setup in Nuke to quickly provide to comp enhanced wall lamps and dirt/details passes for the walls.
■ 00:57 – A MONSTER CALLS
[Digital Matte Painter] Created a skydome after we extended the shot with a new CG camera.
■ 00:58 – A MONSTER CALLS
[Digital Matte Painter] Did a DMP to restore the background wall (remove practical head and on set crew) and created a projection setup to make it work on a couple of similar shots.
■ 01:00 – MURPHY (Student Shortfilm nominated at the 13th VES Awards)
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing) except a few props modelling (tents, vehicles). Trees done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. Crowd Army done with Golaem Crowd. Rendered with Arnold.
■ 01:15 – MURPHY (Student Shortfilm nominated at the 13th VES Awards)
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing). FullCG shot rendered with Arnold, combining animated+static render and matte-paint. Trees done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. I also did a quick setup/skin/animation of flying birds to add life to the shot.
■ 01:20 – MURPHY (Student Shortfilm nominated at the 13th VES Awards)
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. I was in charge of layout, environment, lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing. Trees done in SpeedTree. Shot rendered with Arnold. Used vegetation from free libraries and adapted them to fit our needs.
■ 01:30 – A MONSTER CALLS
[Environment TD] Set extension to replace the original ceiling with a new CG version: ceiling light assets (modeling, texturing, lookdev), rendering with Renderman RIS.
