This car embodies the meeting between the racing car in its most primitive, the Ford Mustang, and the new, more futuristic and electric technology from Tesla. This machine is the Aviar R67, developed by the Russian company Aviar Motors, reports Auto Plus. The prototype takes the style and design of the Mustang but leaves aside its 5.0-liter V8 engine to prefer the platform of the Tesla Model S. This new car could, according to the specialized site, seduce those who are not everything fans of the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, which has seven engines and 1,400 horsepower.

On the Aviar R67, two engines are fitted, powered by a 100 kWh battery. What gives it a power of 840 horsepower: it is therefore possible to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / hour in the space of just 2.2 seconds. And this, knowing that the top speed is around 250 km / h. Body level, the car is made of a lightweight composite mounted on aluminum parts and offers compatibility with Superchargers manufactured by Tesla. It allows for a good distance on a single charge, with a range of about 507 kilometers (315 miles), says Auto Plus.

This revisited Mustang keeps the classic look of the 1968 racing car in the famous movie “Bullitt”, and also uses the manufacturer’s vertical infotainment system as well as the round shaped aerators. The founder of Aviar Motors, Aleksey Rachev, does not hide his love for the mythical model. “I love the 1960s. It was the era of rebels devoid of all hypocrisy (…) I believe that the big cars of the 1960s are a symbol of American culture such as Apollo 11 and Woodstock are. They have no equal from the point of view of charisma and style, “he explains in the document presenting his Aviar R67.
